用法How to use 位
位 means "position"—the place or rank that someone or something occupies. In everyday modern Chinese it is rarely used alone for this meaning; it usually appears in set words like 位子 (seat/place) and 原位 (original position). Use it inside these compounds rather than as a standalone noun.
