用法How to use 台
台 is the usual measure word for machines and electrical appliances, especially computers, TVs, and washing machines; it comes after a number or demonstrative, as in 一台电脑 and 这台电视. It is also the measure word for plays and performances (一台戏、一台节目). As a noun, 台 means 'stage, platform, stand, or station', as in 舞台, 讲台, and 电视台. Do not use this measure word for people.
