墙 (qiáng) means a wall—the vertical surface of a room or building, or a similar barrier outside. It is a noun and often appears in place phrases like 墙上 (“on the wall”) or 墙边 (“by the wall”), and it is counted with 面 or 堵. Use it for physical walls, not for abstract English “walls.”
