用法How to use 开花
开花 means 'to bloom, to blossom' and is a separable verb–object phrase: you can say 开花/开了花/开过花, and modifiers go between the two parts (开了一个月的花). The subject is normally a plant or flower, and the phrase describes the action, not a quality, so it is never modified by 很.
