用法How to use 赢

赢 means 'to win' or 'to beat' in a game, competition, or contest. It is a verb and can stand alone (我们赢了) or take an object such as 比赛 or an opponent (赢了比赛, 赢了他).

昨天的足球比赛我们赢了。zuó tiān de zú qiú bǐ sài wǒ men yíng le.We won yesterday's football match.
他下棋下得很好，我赢不了他。tā xià qí xià de hěn hǎo, wǒ yíng bù liǎo tā.He plays chess very well; I can't beat him.
