用法How to use 近
近 means "near" and describes distance. It is an adjective used in the pattern 离 + place + 近, and it commonly takes 很 or 不 before it, as in 很近 and 学校不近.

Use 离 before the place and 近 after it; 近 cannot take a place as its object.
