用法How to use 有用
有用 (yǒu yòng) is an adjective meaning "useful, helpful". It is often preceded by 很 or 非常, and the person or thing helped is introduced with 对…有用 ("useful to/for …"). The negative form is 没有用 or 没用.

好用 describes a tool, product or method that is easy and convenient to use (这把剪刀很好用；这个方法很好用); 有用 means it is of use or helpful. A dictionary can be both 有用 and 好用, but abstract nouns such as 建议 take 有用, not 好用.
